Subject to a recommendation to suspend trade since 16 May 2013. Several decrees adopted in 2019 and 2020. Observations by the Secretariat provided in July 2020. National legislation is a deliverable under the Compliance Assistance Project. Agreement between Guinea and the Secretariat on capacity-building. Objective to replace various instruments by one single decree on international trade in wild fauna and flora to facilitate enforcement. Consultant recruited under CAP to draft this decree and share it with the Secretariat. Meeting Secretariat and submission revised legislation in April 2024. Full legislative analysis done by Secretariat on 14 May 2024.

Finalization and submission of new CITES decree for legislative analysis by the Secretariat. Elaboration of legislation compliant with CITES and objective to have the decree signed by mid-2024. Agreement between Guinea and the Secretariat on revised analysis.
