During the morning session on Wednesday 25 July, working groups on Rosewood, Res. Conf. 10.13 (implementation timber species) and Nomenclature met to take up their respective mandates and providing recommendations for consideration at the plenary session on Thursday.
In the afternoon, participants reconvened in plenary to discuss agenda items on capacity building, Non-detriment Findings (NDF), Cooperation with the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation of the Convention on Biological Diversity, agarwood-producing taxa, African cherry (Prunus africana): Report of the Secretariat, East African sandalwood (Osyris lanceolata): Report of the intersessional working group and the Periodic Review of the Appendices.
The CITES Secretariat organized a side event on CITES implementation regarding medicinal plant species during the lunch break.
