CONCERNING:
CoP12 Sponsored Delegates Project
- The Sponsored Delegates Project for the 12th meeting of the Conference
of the Parties raised a total of USD 717,800. This enabled the Secretariat
to sponsor 149 delegates from 97 countries.
- Funds were received from the Governments of Austria, Denmark, Finland,
Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America as
well as from the following: Conservation Treaty Support Fund, Humane Society
of the United States, Imprimerie Beck, International Fur Trade Federation,
IWMC World Conservation Trust, Japan Federation of Ivory Arts & Craft
Associations, Loro Parque Fundación and the Species Survival Network.
- The Secretariat wishes to express its appreciation and gratitude to these
Parties and organizations that have generously contributed to this important
project.
