Notification to the Parties

CONCERNING:

Resolutions, Decisions and Appendices I, II and III
in effect after the 12th meeting of the Conference of the Parties

1. The Secretariat is pleased to inform the Parties that the revised Appendices I, II and III resulting from decisions taken at the 12th meeting of the Conference of the Parties have already been posted on the CITES website. The new and revised Resolutions will be posted by 10 February 2003 and the new Decisions shortly after.
   
   
2. In accordance with a decision made by the Conference of the Parties at its ninth meeting, the Resolutions and Decisions from the 12th meeting, as well as the revised versions of Resolutions and Decisions adopted previously, will enter into effect on the date of their publication on the website.
   
   
3. The new Appendices I, II and III will be valid from 13 February 2003.
   
   
4. Printed copies of these documents will be sent to the Parties at a later date.
