CONCERNING:
Specific reservations
1. The Depositary Government has informed the Secretariat that, on depositing their instruments of accession, Iceland and The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia entered the following reservations, in accordance with Article XXIII, paragraph 2, subparagraph a), of the Convention:

(effective 11 August 2000).3. It should be noted that, at its 11th meeting, the Conference of the Parties adopted a nomenclature that recognizes the species Balaenoptera bonaerensis as having been formerly included in the species Balaenoptera acutorostrata. Reservations that had been entered with respect to the latter species before the adoption of the new nomenclature are therefore applicable to the former species.
4. A revised version of the "Specific reservations entered by Parties", valid from 2 October 2000, is attached to this Notification.
5. This Notification replaces Notification to the Parties No. 1999/86 of 5 November 1999.
