1. This Notification is a continuation of Notification to the Parties No. 981 of 2 June 1997. The attached information concerning operations in Singapore and Thailand will be included in the Register of Operations that Breed Specimens of Species Included in Appendix I in Captivity for Commercial Purposes.

Notes: 1. Specimens bred in operations listed in this Register may be entitled to the exemption provided by Article VII, paragraph 4, of the Convention.

2. Parties are invited to reject any document granted under Article VII, paragraph 4, of the Convention, if the specimens concerned do not originate from an operation listed in this Register and/or from a species which has not been declared as bred in captivity by a registered operation.

Current stock: C. porosus: 1,692, C. siamensis: 6,955
(January 1997) Cross breeding: C. porosus X C. siamensis: 754
The farm also breeds crocodilians of the following taxa: C. novaeguineae, C. rhombifer, C.c.crocodilus and Tomistoma schlegelli. However the registration of the farm is only valid for the species C. porosus and C. siamensis

Annual production: For year 2000: expected production of 15,400 specimens of C. siamensis and 2,500 specimens of C. porosus

Remarks:

Origin of stock: From other registered farms, mainly Samutprakan Crocodile Farm, Wat Singh Crocodile Farm, Chonburi Crocodile Farm

Type of products exported: The farm will export skins and meat

Marking of specimens: All live specimens are marked with a plastic tag on the tail with different colours to indicate the farm where the animals originate. For skins, the farm will follow Resolution Conf. 8.14

Production of F2 offspring: Yes
